Since its foundation in 1868, Hypothekarbank Lenzburg has been committed to its private and business customers and to: innovation. It was one of the first banks to leverage the possibilities of state-of-the-art ITC to provide targeted support to its customer banks—one example of this is the founding of Finstar AG.

A key member of a development pool since 1964, Hypi decided to become independent in 1999: Finstar® was founded to efficiently implement projects and solutions.

The technological relaunch of our software began in 2003. Module by module, the Finstar Open Platform was built and placed on a forward-looking technological foundation. At the same time, all regulatory requirements and banking-specific aspects were consistently and continuously taken into account. On January 1, 2026, Finstar AG began independent operations and entered the market as an autonomous entity. 
More than 60 years after we entered the field of software development, we now have a modern solution for the banking of today and tomorrow. This is demonstrated not only by international awards for innovation and the title of “most digital bank” in Switzerland, but above all by those customers who, after thorough evaluation, have chosen Finstar® and the future.
